Every time I get close (as close as you can get online, anyway) to someone online, thick as thieves for a while... and then we just drift apart. Every single frelling time.

I think it's time for this to end. What's the point? Just another blogger bitching about his life to anyone who'll read... or no one, as is the case.

I am not alone, I am not afraid, I am not unhappy. Such a stupid ritual to have to say to myself every day.

I got my iRiver!

H340! It's a lot tinier than I thought it would be. The pictures online show it huge. It's charging right now. Going to play with it tonight after chores. Or maybe I'll wait until it's done charging so I can use it during chores... w00t...

Then I want to skin it too. You can take the faceplate off and put a paper underneath cut to fit, that should be fun.

Someone on IRC just linked me to these: Part 1, Part 2. They're frickin' incredible. Todd Howard is a little echoey or something, but the demo itself sounds fine- I may not be a fan of Star Trek or Patrick Stewart, but hearing him gave me goosebumps. Was only able to listen to part 1, have to go now, but part 2 is supposed to be even better.

Okay, so maybe 3:30 AM is pushing it a little. I woke up, used the toilet and got a drink... I came back to bed and Coast to Coast (show recap) was on. It was interesting. It may all be a load of garbage, but still...

I didn't realize the C2C had no commercial breaks except for the top and bottom of the hour. All of a sudden the local morning news show comes and I look at the clock on my phone... it's 5:00. Jeez.

Stupid cows.

It's a bitch to milk cows when you keep getting whacked in the side of the head with cow tails. Those things hurt.

I was listening to this Montgomery Gentry song, Something to be Proud Of. There's one line: "Yeah, your uncle and I made quite a pair flying F-15s through hostile air. He went down but they missed me by a hair..."

Not exactly that line, but yeah.

That one Greg Martin drawing, forget the name but it's the one where the Sun is expanding and there's a bit of text in the corner about how they said they'd have a billion years or something. Then, there's what I wrote at The Legend of the Shadowkeeper. That's something I would love to expand.

I have a whole text file full of stuff like the above, one liners or one paragraphers (heh) of "mysterious shorts".

Life...

... is boring...

It's not too bad though, in the material spin of things. I ordered Morrowind CE from Amazon Marketplace. I ordered an iRiver H340 digital audio player. And I subscribed to Coast to Coast AM's Streamlink thing. The main reason I subscribed was the ability to download MP3s of past shows to go with the iRiver. Mosts of the guests on C2C are weird, but it's a great break from the usual political talk shows on AM radio.

But the... mental state of things... not knowing anyone that lives by me, or at least I can call/IM, that I have the same interests with... it's a bitch.

Sigh.

I hate having all these interesting books and no one to talk about them with. Just picked up another $90's worth today.
